Note: 1,4 Dioxane is a byproduct produced in the manufacture of soaps that are contained in cosmetics and personal care products such as deodorants, perfumes, shampoos, toothpastes and mouthwashes. New regulations in some states may insist on 1 ppm for 1,4 Dioxane. Cleanzing products with laureth sulfate contain 1/100 of this future requirement. So, we are already way below the existing and future specifications for this byproduct. It is important to understand that entirely eliminating this byproduct may eliminate a product’s efficacy/cleaning ability. Maintaining low levels of byproducts is part of our smart/Earth-friendly formulation work.
